Grammy Award winning musician “Flips the Switch” to mark United Nations’ International Day of Happiness

Grammy Award-winning musician and entrepreneur Pharrell Williams will light the Empire State Building in yellow on Friday, March 20, at 2:00 p.m. in a special ceremony to mark the United Nations’ International Day of Happiness. The Empire State Building will light up the skies from sunset on March 20th until 2:00 a.m. on March 21st to celebrate the International Day of Happiness in New York City.

International Day of Happiness:
On March 20, the world marks the International Day of Happiness, established by the United Nations in 2012 to celebrate and promote “the happiness and well-being of all peoples. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon underscored the centrality of happiness through his powerful message: “Happiness may have different meanings for different people.  But we can all agree that it means working to end conflict, poverty and other unfortunate conditions in which so many of our fellow human beings live. The pursuit of happiness lies at the core of human endeavors.
