Interview with Nia Souix Fraser
Nia Souix Fraser, stars alongside Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler, in Lifetime’s Dance Moms. In this interview with Glitter Magazine, Nia talks about what it’s like being on Dance Moms, if working with Abby has made her a better dancer, the best thing that happened to her since she started on the show, her favorite style of dance, her latest single, “Star In Your Own Life,” and her goals for 2015.
GLITTER: What’s it like being on Lifetime’s Dance Moms?
NIA: I love being on the show, I’m getting to do what I love and that’s all that matters.
GLITTER: Has working with Abby made you a better dancer than you were before you were with her?
NIA: I’ve been dancing at Abby’s since I was two and I’ve learned a lot from her.
GLITTER: What has been the best thing that has happened to you since being on the show?
NIA: Doing my music video because I got to meet so many amazing people.
GLITTER: Sometimes when watching Dance Moms it seems like the mothers are pushy. Are they really like that or is it all for show? Is your mom like that or is she totally supportive?
NIA: What you see is what you get, the show is not scripted. But my mom is super supportive.
GLITTER: Do you get along with the other girls?
NIA: We do get along because we’re a team.
GLITTER: Can you tell us anything interesting about the upcoming season 5 without giving away any spoilers?
NIA: Lots of drama and a lot of opportunities.
GLITTER: What is your favorite style of dance right now?
NIA: My favorite style would be contemporary and musical theater.
GLITTER: Do you see yourself dancing as a lifetime career?
NIA: I love to dance, but I also love to sing and act. I would love to keep performing with each one of them.
GLITTER: What can you tell us about your latest release, “”Star In Your Own Life?” What is the message of this song?
NIA: The message is to not let anyone you are not special because you are.
GLITTER: Are you working on an EP or album you can tell your fans about?
NIA: I can’t say right now, but I’ll keep you posted.
GLITTER: What is your favorite summer activity?
NIA: Swimming.
GLITTER: What are your goals for 2015?
NIA: My goals for 2015 are to keep performing and inspire people.
