Solange Wrote The Best Letter Ever To Herself

As if we don’t already love Solange for the amazing person she is, the artist penned a letter to her teen self.

And it’s absolutely incredible. Some of her words will resonate with so many girls around the nation, and even around the world.

She fearlessly writes, “there will be pain, there will be beauty, there will be unknown. There will be so many moments of joy and delight that the whole universe will feel painted in hues of amber and wonder”.

It seems that Solange isn’t scared of revealing many sides of herself in this very personal, yet very public letter. Not only does she poke fun at the various phases of experimentation she went through as a teen, but also talks about one of the lowest moments in her life when she lost her best friend to gun violence.

We truly love her raw honesty and vulnerability, and her ability to speak to you as if you are the only person in the room.

In the end, she talks about loving yourself and the person you will become in the future, and it’s more important than ever to understand her closing sentence: “there will be you. A whole, whole lot of it. And you will feel good about who she is and who she is still becoming”.
