Everything You Need to Know About Rachel Lindsay

This Monday, May 22nd, Rachel Lindsay looked gorgeous in her 25 pound dress as she began her adventure on ABC’s The Bachelorette. Rachel Lindsay is the first black bachelorette in the show’s history with Rachel exclaiming “my journey of love isn’t any different because my skin color is.”
The 31 year old works as an attorney in Dallas, Texas. She was born on April 25, 1986. Lindsay graduated from the University of Texas, majoring in Kinesiology and Sports Management. She then went on to law school at Marquette University, which she believes is her greatest accomplishment, especially because she passed the bar exam on her first try!
Her biggest regret in life is spending too much time focusing on her career and luckily, the show will help her focus on love. Although she doesn’t believe in love at first sight, she does trust connection at first sight. Her biggest fear is that she has missed out on her opportunity to find love, but we will see what happens this season!
Some fun facts about our new bachelorette include that she has a bible verse and the word “reciprocity” tattoos, hates animals that can fly, and loves the singer, Jean Michel Basquiat. Her favorite sports team is the Dallas Cowboys. Rachel really admires Michelle Obama and views her as her role model. Along with being the first black Bachelorette, she was also the first black woman to receive the first impression rose in Nick Viall’s season.
