Chloe Bennet Looks Fab as an 80’s Valley Girl

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’S Chloe Bennet is seriously rocking the whole 80’s look in her recent post on Instagram.

Sporting a whole head of curly hair, she promoted the upcoming musical film remake of the 1983 Valley Girls, which is slated to premiere soon. Valley Girls is exactly what you think it’ll be about: a hilarious story of high school teens, their growing pains, and what it’s like to be surrounded by teen drama—all centered in the valley.

Bennet will be playing Queen Bee Karen, a new character, who will appear to be reigning over the whole high school. We are so happy that Bennet found success in carving herself out of the stereotypical Asian character narrative. For an actress who is so vocal about the issues pertaining to racial diversity in Hollywood, it’s empowering that she was able to score a role that isn’t defined as the “main character’s best friend” or “nerd #3”.
