Mark Zuckerberg, The Millenial, Returns to Harvard

Harvard College’s Class of 2017 graduated Thursday, May 25, 2017! Mark Zuckerberg, a Harvard College drop-out and Facebook’s 33 year old creator, gave Harvard’s 366th commencement speech. Visiting his old school, Zuckerberg shared reminiscent photos on Instagram of his old dorm room and of where he used to grab a slice of pizza while on campus, cracking jokes about how his parents had wished he had been an actual Harvard graduate. Sorry, mom and dad, now your son’s a billionaire!

During his commencement speech, Zuckerberg emphasized on the importance of not only finding your own purpose, but also creating a purpose and meaning for everyone else: “To keep our society moving forward, we have a generational challenge — to not only create new jobs, but create a renewed sense of purpose.” As Zuckerberg touches on in his speech, millennials often times fear facing failure. This has to stop. It is our duty as the future of the world to take chances, try things before they are “perfect.” Mark Zuckerberg, the drop-out, the husband, the billionaire, and the millennial ended his speech yesterday with, “I hope you find the courage to make your life a blessing.”
