Netflix’s “To The Bone” Trailer Starts Conversations
Netflix recently released the trailer for “To The Bone,” a story about a teen girl battling with anorexia.
This trailer has sparked up a lot of talk among people on social media. Many people think the movie is necessary because it shows that this is a real issue among many young teenagers and adults. Others believe that the movie could be glamorizing and romanticizing eating disorders, or be a trigger to those that are recovering from an eating disorder or are still struggling with one.
The movie was directed and written by Marti Noxon, who herself has spoken publicly and candidly about her struggle with eating disorders in her early teens and twenties.
The movie’s leading actress is Lily Collins, who has also spoken about her struggle with an eating disorder. She believes the movie “has the potential to make a difference and promote open conversation about a topic so often considered too taboo to discuss.”
“To The Bone” was first premiered back in January this year at the Sundance Festival, but will start streaming on Netflix on July 14.
