Mindy Kaling is about to get the biggest role of her life, and you won’t see it on your TV screen anytime soon.

The “Mindy Project” actress is expecting her first child. Insiders have shared that the news has been an “unexpected surprise” but there will be no changes made to the production schedules for her upcoming projects.

While there is no new information about the pregnancy, Kaling has expressed in the past that she does want children.

“I think I’ve decided that unlike everything else in my life, I’m going to be fast and loose about kids,” the 38-year-old actress shared with Yahoo! Style. “I’m going to not actively plan, but if it happens, it would happen.”

Well, congratulations to Mindy on the pregnancy news! We know she will be a hilarious and awesome mom to the lucky child.
