Sarah Hyland Joins The ‘Shadowhunters’ Cast

Be wary of the queen.

Sarah Hyland will be joining the Shadowhunters cast this summer. The Modern Family actor will guest star on the sci-fi series by playing the role of the Seelie Queen. The Seelie Queen is the leader of the fair folk or fairies. She will be introduced in  episode 19 of Season 2.

Her guest starring role was announced on June 5 before the TV series’ season 2b premiere. Her role was also announced at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 20. Dominic Sherwood, who plays Jace Wayland on the show, is Hyland real life boyfriend. Dominic shared at Comic-Con that he does not have a scene with her, but she will be adopting a British accent for the role.

It was also announced at Comic-Con that Alisha Wainwright, who plays Maia Roberts, will become a series regular for season 3.
