Tony From ’13 Reasons Why’ Gives Valuable Advice To Teens
You’ll be seeing Tony in a whole new light.
Christian Navarro, who plays Tony, in Netflix’s original series 13 Reasons Why just revealed in an interview that his character in the show does not show an accurate representation of how he was in middle school at all.
He shared, “I learned pretty quickly that if you bully, you don’t get bullied, so I was a bully in middle school.”
Navarro added though that once he got into high school he “cut all that [bullying] nonsense out. [When you’re a bully], people don’t like you. We all want to belong to a community, so I figured the best way to do that was to stop being a jerk.”
He even shared a little bit of wisdom to teens all over in regards of finding their own community. “Be nice, start listening to people, be empathetic. It’s worked out for me.”
Tony, tell it how it is.
