Cicely Tyson and Yara Shahidi Share a Beautiful Moment
These two are showing different generations of black girl magic.
Yara Shahidi shared a heartwarming post between her and Cicely Tyson where she praised her for paving the way for young women of color.
The above photo was captioned “So lucky to have worked with her and happy to honor her work/legacy/ and space she’s created for actresses and young women of color everywhere ❤️⚡️,”
The two posed in their beautiful dresses not looking no more than 20 years apart. Cicely, who is 92, looked beautiful as ever. Yara looked stunning in her all-white dress with bedazzling pieces attached to her collars. This two truly went on record as the best-dressed gals.
Yara is currently featured on “Black-ish,” while preparing for her own spin-off, “Grown-ish.” You can see Cicely as Annalise’s mother in “How To Get Away With Murder” and she currently has a film coming out within the next year. It is always great to see an icon and a young star together to embrace on the art they have created. These two show a beautiful representation of women of color.
