Demi Lovato’s New Documentary Is Nothing But Simple

Demi Lovato’s new documentary called “Simply Complicated” was released on Oct. 17th, 2017
“Simply Complicated,” the documentary, is a current update on Lovato’s life. It also shows the struggles she faces as a person and an artist.
“Everything happened so fast,” Demi says in one scene while referencing her fame as a Disney Channel star in Camp Rock. The show was released in 2008, and she co-starred with then-teen sensations ‘The Jonas Brothers.’ “All of a sudden, she had to be this role model, and I don’t think she was ready for that,” said one of the interviewees.
The 80-minute special will be following a growing list of programs that YouTube is bringing to its users. Besides “Simply Complicated,” there have been several other projects that artists are showcasing on YouTube. In June, Katy Perry did a 96 hour long live stream which has since gotten over 50 million views. Camilla Cabello also aired a short documentary series following her on tour with Bruno Mars.
This is Demi’s second documentary that follows “Stay Strong” which was filmed in 2012. It will show how she has overcome her struggles with an eating disorder and drug abuse that led to a stint in rehab at the age of 18.
“The last documentary, it was about me surviving,” she says with a smile. “This documentary is about me thriving,” she ended. Thrive Demi thrive, that is all we wish for her.
