Playboy Magazine Covers First Transgender Model
The first ever to hold the title as a playmate.
The well-known playboy magazine has just released their first-ever transgender playmate. After being in business for more than 60 years, the company announced Thursday its new addition to the team. The French model’s name is Ines Rau and she looks stunning. In her article, she spoke about the reality of being a transgendered woman. “Being a woman is just being a woman,” she stated. This casting was a dream come true for Ines and an even bigger impact in today’s climate.
This is a great progressive move for Playboy. With the recent issues that have been circulating around transgenders, it a helpful to see positive stories being told. Though Ines is not the first transgender to be in Playboy magazine, she is the first person to be the face of the cover. At this time it is important to see as many different representations as possible to continue the inclusivity of everyone.
This issue is expected to release in November.
