Michelle Williams Reveals She Was Suicidal In Destiny’s Child
She explains how it was a long battle from the age of 13.
While at the top of the charts with her former group, Destiny’s Child, Michelle Williams was struggling with depression. It stemmed from her younger teen years and at the time she was unaware of what she feeling. She described in an interview with the hosts of The Talk that thinking of it as “growing pains,” and that it was something that came with puberty. It was until she turned 25 that she found a term to describe what she was going through and why it left her doubting herself.
Even as one of the best groups at the moment with hit singles she was not able to be happy. Michelle expressed that it got so bad to the point where she was contemplating suicide. Fortunately, she was able to get through it with the strength of her family and friends. Michelle thanked The Talk for letting her share her story and encouraged more fans to reach out for help.
Mental health is the most important and we wish for everyone to be healthy.
