Logic Remixes His ‘1-800-273-8255’ With Juanes
Logic and Juanes work together to spread suicide awareness worldwide.
After the powerful VMA performance back in August, Logic’s song “1-800-273-8255,” has managed to increase the knowledge of suicide and create a space for people to speak. To increase those efforts and reach more people, Juanes did a remix of the song.
His remix includes vocals over the original song singing “I want to see you dream / I want to see you fly / Don’t let yourself fall / Don’t feel down,” in Spanish. This is a great addition to the song because it diversifies the audience and helps those who do not speak English or are bilingual. This shows that this is an issue that affects everyone despite their backgrounds and language differences. You can listen to the song below:
Logic has done a great job at adding different layers to his music. He provides conscious music for those suffering and who may feel out of place in this world. His last album “Everybody” which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 lived up to its title. Everybody could relate to it in some way whether it was body image, suicide, mental illness, or some other issue it was to let one know they are not alone.
Suicide is very prevalent and we are loving the awareness this song is bringing.
