Women Are Sending Donald Trump Their Birth Control Bills
Women are taking a different approach to combatting Trump.
It was announced earlier by Trump that he would enact a law where employers are not required to offer birth control coverage. In response to this, women are sending their birth control bills to Donald Trump. Through different women organizations like KeepBCFree.com and Planned Parenthood, women can calculate their yearly birth control bills to send to the president. So far more than 1,000 women have created and sent in their yearly invoice to the white house. Birth control can be as high as $1,111 per year with the cheapest option at $600. This new law will put women in poor situations regarding their health. Showing Trump the costs and impact this change is having on women is a great way to get the word out and oppose his decision.
Showing the president the costs and impact this change is having on women is a great way to get the word out and oppose his decision. Birth control is used for multiple health reasons and showing the necessary uses for it is enlightening. This is an interesting approach to fighting for the rights of women’s health. Hopefully, there is a resolution that can be made to ensure the safety of women’s health is intact.
