Jay Z Responds To NFL Owner Robert McNair’s ‘Inmates’ Comments
Jay is sending his message loud and clear to NFL players. He gave his thoughts during a ‘4:44’ Tour stop in Anaheim on Friday.
Texans owner Rob McNair recently made some controversial comments regarding NFL players protesting and it did not sit well with Jay Z. McNair compared NFL players to inmates stating: “We can’t have the inmates running the prison.” This comment received a lot of backlash and gained responses from people of all viewpoints. Jay Z, who is in support of Kaepernick and his protest, had a message for current players. “They’re injuring themselves on the field, giving it all they got,” Jay Z stated. “That’s how they look at you. That’s what they think about you. We got so much further to go,” he continued. Jay Z encouraged all of them to try and help work on their people because it clearly shows that it is needed.
This message was needed especially at a time where there is high tension in the country. We hope to see a resolution come to this organization to ensure everyone is treated equally able to stand for their beliefs.
