Christina Aguilera to Honor Whitney Houston at the AMAs
This talented beauty will be honoring one of our late queens.
Christina Aguilera will sing a 25th-anniversary tribute to Whitney Houston and “The Bodyguard” at the 2017 American Music Awards (AMAs).
“I am excited, honored and humbled to perform a tribute to one of my idols, Whitney Houston for the 25th Anniversary of “The Bodyguard” at the @AMAs!” Aguilera wrote.
This will be her second time honoring the late Whitney Houston. Aguilera’s first tribute performance was at the 2001 BET Awards where she sang “Run to You.” This performance was highly praised by Houston according to her estate.
The soundtrack for “The Bodyguard” has sold over 45 million copies. Houston is the lead vocals on six of the tracklists: “I Will Always Love You,” “I Have Nothing,” “I’m Every Woman,” “Run to You,” “Queen of the Night” and “Jesus Loves Me.” We know Christina will pay a special homage to Whitney Houston and we can not wait to see the performance.
The American Music Awards is set to air November 19th, 2017.
