Former Bachelor In Paradise Producer Sues Warner Bros.
It seems like every day there is a new sexual harassment case or allegation popping up. The Kevin Spacey drama is blowing up, but another very popular show is in jeopardy. Bachelor In Paradise is now facing a lawsuit over claims that producers sexually harassed a production assistant.
These allegations come from a former production assistant, Becky Steenhoek. She claimed that the producers would ask her “sexually invasive” question that did not pertain to the show or its production. The questions were aimed to make her uncomfortable and embarrass her due to her lack of sexual experience and her conservative views when it comes to sex.
The questions were along the lines of:
-How often do you masturbate?
-Have you ever had anal sex?
-Is your vagina shaved?
-Do you enjoy giving hand jobs?
Steenhoek has filed a lawsuit against Warner Bros. Entertainment. The parties that were named in the court document obtained by Buzzfeed News are Warner Bros. Entertainment, the creator of the show Mike Fleiss’s production company NZK Productions and many of the producers. She is suing for Damages related to sexual harassment and a hostile work environment, sexual discrimination, retaliation, failure to prevent harassment, intentional infliction of distress and wrongful termination.
“I think [sexual harassment is] an industry-wide problem — these executives are untouchable,” she said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times. Warner Bros. have released a statement and claim that its findings did not line up with the allegations. Since this all happened, Steenhoek has moved back to Texas.
