Kat Von D Partners With Farm Sanctuary
Kat Von D is partnering with Farm Sanctuary to create a limited edition set of lipsticks.
There are four lipsticks in the collection and will all be named after real and recently saved animals. The collaboration was announced on Instagram under the beauty company. From the picture, we are shown the packaging and the four animals that are featured as well as the colors. The colors and animals are: “Bruno,” a royal blue named after a cow; “Julia,” a light pink named after a pig; “Hilda,” a brownish red for of a sheep; and “Thumbelina,” a bright red for a rooster.
Farm Sanctuary started out as a small shelter which was founded in 1986. Now, the small shelter has grown into a cruelty-free foundation. It is also the first charity of its kind and developed into a large organization that’s headquartered in Watkins Glen, NY. The foundation is known for rescuing animals from inhumane environments. According to the post, 20% of the proceeds will go towards Farm Sanctuary to help keep animals safe.
Kat Von D is also known for being a huge activist when it comes to not testing on animals. Recently, the company, as well as Kat Von D, criticized NARS as they decided to start testing on animals due to their significant expansion in China.
