Bruno Mars Is Airing a Live Performance at the Apollo
Bruno Mars is airing a live performance on CBS later this month.
Mars booked his first prime-time TV special at Harlem’s Apollo Theater for a concert airing on CBS on November 29th. The special, titled ‘Bruno Mars: 24K Magic Live at the Apollo,’ will show the singer walking throughout the streets of Harlem. Shooting will continue throughout the upcoming weeks with “never-before-seen stage performances” also in store for viewers. Besides the singer, it will also feature his band, the Hooligans.
In reference to a never before seen stage performance, the concert will be taking place from on top of the Apollo marquee and not from inside the actual theater. This type of performance has never been done and will be the first of its kind.
In the words of Mars himself, “Don’t believe it? Just watch.” Mars is co-executive producing the event along with Ben Winston, a producer who works for the company Fulwell 73 Productions. This company will also be producing the concert.
While it is Mars first TV special, it isn’t his first time playing on TV. In the past, he has performed for many half-time Super Bowl shows.
