TLC Cuts Ties With Jill Duggar’s Husband, Derrick Dillard After Controversial Tweets
Though the family’s one time hit show 19 Kids and Counting was cancelled after the oldest son’s sexual harassment scandal was uncovered, TLC started a spinoff with the oldest daughters titled Counting On.Many are fascinated with the family as they follow a strict moral code that comes with unusual dating rules along with the over-sexualizing of the female body.
They also have conservative views of the LGBTQ community, which have landed Derrick Dillard (husband of Jill Duggar) in hot water.
TLC has a hit show titled I am Jazz, which follows the transgender teenage girl Jazz Jennings that was born a boy. Dillard had some thoughts about the show though in which he slams the network for “exploiting” Jazz.
I pity Jazz, 4 those who take advantage of him in order 2 promote their agenda, including the parents who allow these kinds of decisions 2 be made by a child. It’s sad that ppl would use a juvenile this way. Again, nothing against him, just unfortunate what’s on tv these days.

Just a few week earlier, he sent out this tweet as well:
I agree with Janice Raymond on this. pic.twitter.com/rGDWdWWPqM

Jazz happened to send out a tweet two days after Derrick’s which read, “In the face of constant ignorance and hatred I prefer to disregard negative opinions and continue moving forward with love.”
While Dillard has the right to his own opinion, it certainly does not align with the one’s of TLC which have signed plenty of paychecks for him and his wife. TLC made sure to distance itself from Dillard and his comments, releasing a statement on their Twitter.
