BTS made their debut performance at the AMA’s.

The Korean boy band has toured in the U.S. before but has never made an official debut performance. The group performed their hit single “DNA”. “DNA” is taken off the band’s recent album called Love Yourself: Her. The song is the first K-pop record to hit the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart.

The seven-member group is also the first K-Pop group to perform at the AMA’s. After their performance, they stopped to do an interview with Billboard. During the interview, member Kim Nam-Joon, one of the few that speaks English, explained how they didn’t think they could go this far. “Performing in front of 10,000 people was our final dream. Tonight we’re going to perform in front of millions of people via television; it’s a miracle.”

During the performance, we can see BTS’ swarm of fans in the crowd but we also see some new BTS fans start to emerge. Various celebrities were seen jamming to the song when it wasn’t focused on the boys’ smooth moves. Are all K-Pop boy bands like this? Either way, we can’t wait to see what BTS comes up next when it comes to their music.
