‘New Girl’ is Coming to an End

In May it was announced that New Girl, a Fox comedy, would be coming to an end after season seven.

The cast that includes Zooey Deschanel, Hannah Simone, Max Greenfield and Jake Johnson is already back on set.

Deschanel talks to Us about how different it is going to be.

“Oh man, it’s going to be different. It’s fewer episodes and because it’s a shorter season it’s going to be a few years in the future,” she said.

She also talks about her emotions with the show ending.

“[It’s] definitely emotional for me. I can’t speak for anyone else but it will definitely be emotional for me. It’s been seven years of my life and we’ve all been through so many changes. It’s bittersweet. It’s a huge accomplishment but it’s also sad to move on.”

The show that began in 2011 has been nominated for five Golden Globes and five Emmys since the start. Fans are glad that their favorite, quirky show is coming back, but saddened by the short length of the season consisting of only eight episodes. The last season ended in a cliffhanger, so fans are patiently waiting for the premiere(the date has not been set yet) of the last season so they can piece it all together once and for all.
