Ed Sheeran and Beyonce Drop A “Perfect” Duet
Ed Sheeran and Beyonce collaborated for a Perfect Duet.
Ed Sheeran didn’t receive Grammy nominations in any of the four big categories (Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best New Artist). But he did recieve nominations in Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance for his album Divided and the song “Shape of You.” However, his latest collaboration definitely makes up for that.
Ed Sheeran recently released a “Perfect” duet done with none other than Beyonce herself. The song is a remix of Ed’s hit song “Perfect.” Ed Sheeran sings the first verse, Beyonce sings the second, and they both sing the final chorus. During Beyonce’s verse, she changes the lyrics to be from a girl’s perspective saying “Be your girl, you’ll be my man.”
The original song “Perfect” was released on the album Divided.
This is the third time that Ed Sheeran and Beyonce have collaborated. In 2015, they performed a tribute to Stevie Wonder at “Songs in the Key of Life — An All-Star Salute,” and later that year sang a rendition of “Drunk in Love” at Global Citizen Festival.
