YouTube Is Releasing a New Music Streaming Service
Apple Music and Spotify will have new competition soon.
YouTube is getting ready to release a new music streaming service titled “Remix,” that could come as quickly as March 2018. With this new streaming service, they would be able to offer music and video clips. YouTube’s video clips attract an audience of 1 billion each month. This would be a great opportunity for the artist because YouTube is currently the source for fans to listen to music for free. By implementing this new service fans will be able to stream all of their favorite music through various mediums.
So far Warner Music Group has already signed on to be apart of this venture according to Bloomberg News. There are only two other labels that will complete the big pyramid of all music labels to be truly powerful. It is rumored that Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music Group are currently in negotiations with YouTube.
YouTube has reached out to artists to help them promote this streaming service as it continues to get ready for release. This will be their third attempt at creating a streaming service. Currently, they have Youtube Red which is an ad-free platform for videos. Be on the lookout for Remix, it could be your new place for all things music.
