Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Gets A Star On Walk Of Fame
The multi-talented star received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame a week before his new movie “Jumanji” is released.
Just 18 years ago, The Rock came to Hollywood. Before coming to become an actor, The Rock was a football player who then became a professional wrestler who finally and currently is an actor. Johnson’s most recent films include Disney mega-hit “Moana,” where he plays and sings as demigod Maui, “Baywatch,” “The Fate of The Furious,” “Central Intelligence” and “San Andreas.” In the future, he’s playing a role in the film “Jungle Cruise,” which was based off a Disneyland ride, and a “Fast and Furious” spinoff based on his character from the past “Fast and Furious” films.
In 1995, his football career ended with a stint on the practice roster of the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. This did not stop Johnson as he decided to pursue wrestling the following year. He followed in the footsteps of his grandfather and father. During his wrestling career, he became an eight-time World Wrestling Federation/World Wrestling Entertainment champion.
The star is the 2,624th since the completion of the Walk of Fame in 1961 with the first 1,558 stars.
