Apple Releases a Statement About the iPhone Battery Controversy

Apple has acknowledged what their users have been saying for years – once the newest addition of the iPhone comes out, all other generations are made to run slower.

It has been a theme that when the newest generation of the iPhone comes out, every generation below it starts to act a little wacky. For years, Apple has not released any confirmation or denial of this accusation.

Apple stated, “We know that some of you feel Apple has let you down. We apologize.” They also stated, “There’s been a lot of misunderstanding about this issue, so we would like to clarify and let you know about some changes we’re making.”

Apple has further stated that they will be decreasing prices for battery replacements from $79 to $29 for users with an iPhone 6 or later starting in late January of next year. The price will return to its regular price of $79 in 2019.

Although Apple says that there’s no way they could be behind an intentional glitch, it’s certainly something to keep an eye on in the future.
