Serena’s Back in Action on the Court
It’s been almost a year since tennis legend Serena Williams has been dominating the tennis court.
This morning, Williams competed against Jelena Ostapenko at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi. Williams lost to Ostapenko in a best-of-three match. It has been almost a year since Serena was competing. She won her 23rd Grand Slam title at last year’s Australian Open.
That hasn’t been Serena’s only accomplishment in the last year. 2017 was a different ball game as she gave birth to her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. and tied the knot with long time boyfriend Alexis Ohanian. Williams and Ohanian met in Rome in 2015 and have been together ever since.
In 2018 we hope to see Serena on the court with her little family in the stands.
