INTERVIEW: Caspar Lee on YouTube, Traveling, Social Media, and His Biography

Caspar Lee is one of the most recognizable names on social media, but he’s always been like you and me, mostly.

He’s best friends with Joe Sugg and they traveled 1,000 miles together. He wrote a biography, has traveled the world, is a bit of a daredevil, finds inspiration from his mom (can we all collectively say, “aww!”), and has some really exciting projects on the horizon, but he can’t tell us quite yet so make sure you follow his social media for up-to-date news! GLITTER: What can you tell us about your recently released biography?
CASPAR: Well I wrote it with my Mom, Emily, and it was a great opportunity for us to look back at all our old photo albums and reminisce. I loved being on tour with her, she’s the best.

GLITTER: What was it like to travel 1,000 miles with Joe Sugg? Did you both ever tire of each other, or do you constantly keep each other entertained?
CASPAR: Joe constantly makes me laugh so traveling with him is always something I look forward to. We lived together so it just feels like old times.

GLITTER: What is the craziest thing you and Cara Delevigne have done together?
CASPAR: She groomed my eyebrows for me, and she showed me her underwear.

GLITTER: Are you a bit of a daredevil?
CASPAR: I love adrenaline sports like surfing and ab-sailing, so yeah you could say that!

GLITTER: Favorite place you’ve ever traveled to so far?
CASPAR: I loved going around the US with Joe this summer, we did a lot of cool things for our next film. I can’t wait for people to see it.

GLITTER: Where do you find your inspiration?
CASPAR: My mom.

GLITTER: What is the longest time a fan has ever waited to see you?
CASPAR: Some fans travel from across the world to come to meet & greets, a girl from China traveled to my Scottish signing this summer so I guess you could say we waited quite a while!

GLITTER: What is your favorite thing to do on your downtime?
CASPAR: When I’m not editing, I’m hanging out with friends.

GLITTER: When did you first start performing professionally?
CASPAR: I wouldn’t call myself a professional performer, but I first started creating content six-years-ago.

GLITTER: Is there something about you that your fans would be surprised to know?
CASPAR: I’m really interested in politics.

GLITTER: What can you tell us about your YouTube channel? How often do you post videos?
CASPAR: I have a main channel where I like to upload prank videos, collab videos, and more big production stuff, whereas my second channel MoreCaspar is for vlog content, so day to day stuff. I try and post on both once a week.

GLITTER: What is one thing you can’t live without?
CASPAR: My phone or laptop. It’s my connection to you guys.

GLITTER: What projects do you have coming up that you can tell us about?
CASPAR: I am releasing Hit the Road USA with Joe in the UK & US, which I’m really excited about and I have some very exciting projects coming up in 2017, but I can’t tell you about them yet so you will have to follow me!
