Meryl Streep to Join Second Season of ‘Big Little Lies’
Meryl Streep is set to join the second season of HBO’s award-winning show, Big Little Lies.
Big Little Lies is getting another big star. Meryl Streep is set to join the cast next season as Mary Louise Wright, the mother of Alexander Skårsgard’s Perry Wright. Sadly, the second season is planned to air sometime in 2019, but we’re sure with the addition of Streep this is going to be worth the wait.
Big Little Lies has been a fan favorite since its release in February of last year. Their success was shown during this year’s award season as well. The show took home four Golden Globes including: Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series Made for Television, won by Nicole Kidman, Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series Made for Television, won by Alexander Skårsgard, Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series Made for Television, won by Laura Dern, and Best Television Limited Series. They also received 10 Primetime Emmys. We are so excited to see Streep in this new role.
