Check out a Sneak Peek of ‘Heathers’ TV Reboot
It looks like JD and Veronica are back at it again.
Paramount Pictures has released previews for the new TV reboot of the 1988 movie.
The network has released several previews on social media of the upcoming TV reboot. In one preview, JD and Veronica’s nefarious activities are teased along with Heather Chandler’s classic “crash through a glass table” death.
In the original film, JD was portrayed by Mr. Robot’s Christian Slater with Stranger Things’ Winona Ryder as Veronica Sawyer.
Shannen Doherty, who portrayed Heather Duke in the original film, is expected to be in the first episode of the new series.

We also get an introduction to the Heathers, who may look different than we remember. The Heathers are now a black girl, a plus-size girl, and a gay male.
Fans of the original movie should expect major changes, with characters like Veronica Sawyer undergoing a bit of a transformation. Producer Jason Micallef states that in the writers’ room it was thought that “it’s 2018, and not 1988” and that “no one’s going to want to watch a girl for 10 episodes follow a guy around, murder people and then whine about it.”
Although, Micallef did mention that the movie’s “dark and edgy” tone would be retained along with lots of Easter eggs.
Heathers is set to premiere in the U.S. on March 7, 2018 on Paramount.
