Zendaya Makes Special Guest Appearance at an Oakland Elementary School
The former Disney star returned home to Oakland and made a pit stop.
Native to Oakland, California, Zendaya made her way back home and stopped by a familiar spot. Never forgetting where she came from, The Greatest Showman actress paid a visit to the kids of her hometown at Fruitvale Elementary. Her mother worked at the school for 20 years.
Working alongside Verizon Innovative Learning Labs and Project Lead the Way, a nonprofit designed to integrate hands-on learning to the classroom, Zendaya promoted a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education.
