George Clooney Reveals How He Met His Wife Amal

George Clooney tells David Letterman on My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman how he met his wife, Amal, and it truly is the cutest little love story.

“You didn’t even have to leave the house,” Letterman said to Clooney during his interview. George Clooney responded, “A mutual friend of ours said, ‘I’m stopping by and can I bring my friend?’ and I was like, ‘Of course.'” According to Clooney, he got a call from his agent who told him the woman he was going to marry would be coming to his house.

The 56-year old actor met 39- year old Amal, an international human rights attorney and got married in 2014.  “And the funniest thing was my mom and dad were visiting, so my parents were there, and we just talked and we stayed up all night talking and then, you know, I got her email address because she was going to send me some pictures of my parents and then, we started writing and I didn’t really, I didn’t know if she wanted to go out with me,” Clooney told Letterman.

It is clear that when you are not out looking for love, you’re going to find it. Love just finds its way to you. George and Amal are now parents to twins Ella and Alexander.

My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman is set to air George Clooney’s episode on Feb. 9.
