Lin-Manuel Miranda Welcomes Baby No. 2 with Wife Vanessa Nadal
Oh Francisco, when you smile we are undone.
Lin-Manuel Miranda and his wife, Vanessa Nadal are celebrating the birth of their second child. The newest member of the Miranda clan is a boy named Francisco Miranda. The Hamilton creator announced the birth on his Twitter in script fashion, writing “Int. Hospital Room. Night. [The screams reach a delirious crescendo. FRANCISCO MIRANDA enters. He is 7 pounds and 13 ounces.] Intermission.”

Miranda and Nadal wed in 2010, two years after he opened his first Broadway musical, the Tony-Award winning, In the Heights. Nadal is an attorney and the pair revealed they were expecting their second child in late 2017. Miranda confirmed the news on Twitter when Nadal could be seen sporting a baby bump on the red carpet at the 2017 London Evening Standard Theatre Awards.
The couple welcomed their first child, Sebastian, in November 2014. Miranda announced his first son’s birth in the same scripted play format.
