Fans can now get a chance to hear what’s in store for Dirty Computer with Monae’s two new singles “Make Me Feel” and “Django Jane” that were released today. She also released music videos for these two electric singles.
Alan Ferguson directed the video for “Make Me Feel,” which is filled with color and 80’s vibes. Monae brings the fun with her electric aura and female-driven lyrics. There is also no question that this single is Prince-inspired with the electric pop hooks and its touch on sexual fluidity.
Monae’s video for “Django Jane,” which was directed by Andrew Donoho and Chuck Lightning, screams black girl magic with her lyrics celebrating the strength of black women. The music video also features black women surrounding Monae as she raps her empowering lyrics that address the trials and tribulations regarding identity in today’s society while also celebrating black culture.
The pre-order for Dirty Computer will also include downloads of “Make Me Feel” and “Django Jane.”
