Jessica Capshaw and Sarah Drew Are Leaving Grey’s Anatomy After 14 Seasons

(ABC)

Shonda Rhimes keeps on breaking our hearts with Jessica Capshaw leaving Grey’s Anatomy after 14 seasons and we are so upset by the news.

Due to a “creative direction” for the Grey’s Anatomy production team, Dr. Arizona Robbins and Dr. April Kepner will no longer be in practice after Season 14. Jessica Capshaw has played Arizona Robbins for ten seasons and Sarah Drew has played April Kepner for nine seasons.

Krista Vernoff stated, “As writers, our job is to follow the stories where they want to go and sometimes that means saying goodbye to characters we love. It has been a joy and a privilege to work with these phenomenally talented actresses.” Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw even gave statements to their fans on Twitter.

One thing is for sure, this is probably not the last time fans are going to see Capshaw and Drew on ABC. Shonda Rhimes just loves to use her characters in other television shows she produces.  As we know, for now, Dr. Arizona Robbins and Dr. April Kepner are the only two doctors leaving after Season 14.
