Photos by Derrick Freske

Lexi Jayde has always wanted to be an actress for as long as she can remember.

She recently sat down with Glitter to discuss what roles she’s had in the past, what she loves to do on her free time, her favorite hobbies, and a few things her fans may not know about her. Read on to find out more about this talented actress!

GLITTER: Did you always want to be an actress?
LEXI: I think I was born an actress! As far back as I can remember, I always loved to perform and be in front of the camera.

GLITTER: What other roles have you had in the past?
LEXI: I have been in over 20 musicals so I have been everything from Annie to Ariel in The Little Mermaid.  I have also played some great characters in movies!

GLITTER: What do you love to do in your spare time?
LEXI: Travel, shop, spend time with my friends, go on adventures, and sometimes I love to just sit back and watch a good movie!

GLITTER: Do you have any favorite hobbies?
LEXI: Currently my favorite hobby would be exercising. I started doing hot yoga and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made, and shopping of course!

GLITTER: If you weren’t an actress, what would you want to do instead?
LEXI: I’ve never really thought about it.  I just know right now this is what I am going to do.  Act and sing!

GLITTER: We know you also love to dance. What music videos have you lent your dancing chops to in the past?
LEXI: Good question!  I do love to dance, and I have been in a few videos. I just finished Mark Thomas video, but I am more of a street dancer. I haven’t been classically trained or anything, I just love to move!  In fact, I am lead in our dance performance at my high school.

GLITTER: What is something fans may not know about you?
LEXI: I can do back handsprings! I was a flier on the cheer team last year. I interviewed Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande when I was a junior reporter for Hollywood Teenzine.

GLITTER: How do you give back to the community?
LEXI: Well I would love to give more, but currently I am involved with several anti-bullying campaigns and I am trying to be a voice for all girls going through hard times.  I use my Instagram as a platform to instill self-worth and confidence in my followers and those who may stumble across my profile.  I hope to someday have my own charity!

GLITTER: Best advice you were ever given?
LEXI: Always be yourself and don’t give up. Kindness is everything, and don’t let other peoples’ words bring you down.

GLITTER: What is your definition of self-love?
LEXI: Self-love to me is loving yourself no matter what anyone else thinks, being confident in who you are on the inside and out, and walking into that room knowing you are you and no one can change that!

GLITTER: Do you have any new projects coming up that you can tell us about?
LEXI: Pilot season is here and hopefully I will be talking about a lot in the next couple of months!  I am also working on some original music so stay tuned!

GLITTER: What positive message do you hope to send women who follow you?
LEXI: Stay kind, stay feeling beautiful, and keep your head up high! Girl power is everything. Just know you’re amazing and always enough!

GLITTER: Many women are coming forward in media and standing up for their rights as women. How important is this issue to you?
LEXI: I feel so lucky to be able to witness this movement, and I am so proud of all of the women that are displaying such courage by telling their stories.   I feel grateful because these women are setting the standard and paving the way for our generation.  They are teaching us girls that our voice is our power and self-worth should not come at a price!  Your time is up.

GLITTER: What would be your dream role in the future?
LEXI: That’s a hard one. Probably a superhero or a Disney Princess!

GLITTER: How can fans follow you?
