Shawn Mendes Releases New Music Video for “In My Blood”

Announcing its release at 7 AM PST, Shawn Mendes’ new video for “In My Blood” would be released two hours later. With a series post on Instagram and tweet announcement, fans did not have much time to gather much information. Hey, some people may even be sleeping through this major news!
In the nine-second clip being shared, you can see Mendes lying on the floor of a dark room merely breathing.

While this is not the first time we have heard this song – it’s already playing on radio stations worldwide – it is our first look at the maturing sound of Shawn Mendes. During an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Mendes shared that the songs for his third album, namely In My Blood, was inspired by the sound of Kings of Leon. In an attempt to be more honest and transparent, he was able to push out some of his best work yet.
“In My Blood” is the first track from Mendes’ upcoming third album. The singer/songwriter’s last LP, Illuminate, came out in September of 2016 and debuted at Number One.
