Live-Action ‘Kim Possible’ Cast Announced

Kim Possible voice actors Christy Carlson Romano and Will Friedle helped announce the live-action cast in an adorable audition tape spoof.
Kim Possible, which aired from June 2002 until September 2007, will be getting the live-action treatment. Set to debut in 2019 on Disney Channel, the movie will pick up the story of teenage crime fighter Kim Possible and her faithful sidekick Ron Stoppable.
In a clip posted on Disney Channel’s official Instagram with the caption “Behind the scenes of the #kimpossible DCOM casting,” Romano and Friedle, dressed in their characters’ likeness, audition for their former character’s roles. Despite awkwardly trying out, Romano and Friedle then agree with the casting directors more apt choices for the leads.
Revealed in the clip, acting newcomer Sadie Stanley, who recently appeared on Nickelodeon’s Game Shakers, will take on the role of cheerleader and superhero Kim Possible, and The Goldbergs actor, Sean Giambrone will play her nacho-obsessed best friend, Ron Stoppable.
Filming is set to begin this summer, and according to Disney Channel, if everything goes according to schedule, we should expect to see the movie sometime next year.
