Avengers: Infinity War Breaks Box Office Record
The latest Avengers movie breaks a box office record as the film with the biggest opening weekend at the US box office.
According to Disney, Infinity War walked away with an estimated $258.2 million domestically this past weekend. Disney, who owns the Star Wars franchise, was the also the record keeper before Infinity War with Star Wars: The Force Awakens hitting $248 million for opening weekend in 2015. Lucasfilm producer Kathleen Kennedy shares a congratulations message for the achievement.
It is not just in the United States that the Avengers movie is smashing records. The heroic movie made about $640.9 million worldwide in the opening weekend. This beat out The Fate of the Furious, which made around $541 million last year.
Some of the invincible heroes include Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Chris Pratt as Star Lord, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Mark Ruffalo as Hulk. Even if you haven’t seen the previous Avengers films, this epic battle is literally out of this world and cannot be missed, trust us!
