Billy Eichner Teams up with Funny or Die for Glam up the Midterms Campaign
Billy On The Street’s Billy Eichner teams up with Funny Or Die for Glam Up The Midterms, a non-partisan campaign working towards increasing the number of young voters for the midterm elections.
The Glam Up The Midterms website states that “Only 12% of young people voted during the last midterm election”. This low statistic calls for an important change in voting behaviors in the younger generations.
This campaign is urging young people to get involved by voting and allowing individuals to donate to the campaign.
The first Glam Up The Midterms event, “Vote Classy, San Diego: A Conversation with Ron Burgundy and Billy Eichner”, took place on April 12th in Oceanside, CA. Billy Eichner plays a significant role in this campaign, using his bold humor to “lighten up” the seriousness surrounding any election.
Eichner is teaming up with RuPaul and his drag race team for the next Glam Up The Midterms event on May 12th at RuPaul’s DragCon in LA.
