First Look of Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina the Teenage Witch
Kiernan Shipka posted an image on Instagram, giving us a glimpse into Greendale and announcing the Netflix series’ title.
In the Instagram post, the 18-year-old Mad Men alum gives a haunting smile as she poses on set in a director’s chair. Matching her shirt, the series title starkly stands out against the black seat.
Writer and executive, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa also shared the photo on twitter saying, “It’s official! The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ is our title!”
The new show is based on the Archie Comics of the same name and will take on an eerier tone than the original Sabrina the Teenage Witch series. Similar to Riverdale, the show is a dark coming-of-age story and will feel akin to the horror movies Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist.
The remaining cast includes Ross Lynch, as Sabrina’s sweetheart Harvey Kinkle, and Lucy Davis and Miranda Otto as Sabrina’s eccentric Aunts Hilda and Zelda, respectively.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premieres later this year on Netflix and will have two seasons, totaling 20 episodes.
