RuPaul Announces Netflix Series
Supermodel of the world, RuPaul Charles is getting her own Netflix comedy, AJ and the Queen.
She will write and produce the show alongside 2 Broke Girls co-creator and Sex and the City writer Michael Patrick King with Warner Bros. TV studio for a total of ten hour-long episodes.

RuPaul herself will star as Ruby Red, “a bigger-than-life but down-on-her-luck drag queen” who travels from club-to-club across the country in a rundown 1990s R/V, accompanied by her unlikely sidekick AJ, “a recently orphaned, tough-talking, scrappy 11-year-old stowaway.” Throughout their journey, Ruby’s message of love and acceptance touches many hearts, and changes lives for the better.
Though the show is still very much in the works, and no official casting announcement for AJ has yet been made, you should absolutely get hyped to see the queen of all queens in this adventurous new role. She also allegedly performs a drag number in every club along the way, which is all the more incentive to watch.
