Bastille Drops New Music Video for “Quarter Past Midnight”
From buzz cuts to birthday cakes, the new Bastille music video for “Quarter Past Midnight” just about covers it all. The pop-indie band has released their first video off their third album this past week. It has the lead singer, Dan Smith, rushing through some crazy scenes like waking up in an abandoned building (with all of his hair). But soon into the video, we get a scene of Smith getting a buzz cut and the events just take off from there.
We are taken through dance raves, a bus, what seems like a birthday party, and more for what is definitely a crazy night for Smith. One thing is for sure, Smith needs help piecing “it all together” in the chorus of the new song.
The beat of “Quarter Past Midnight” has high energy that keeps up with the intense scenes of the video. The video is directed by Austin Peters, who has worked with Bastille before, including their song “Flaws” and “Oblivion.” The song is off their third album, which will be released later this year.
