Everything You Need to Know About the Premiere of This Season’s Bachelorette

Fan favorite, Becca Kufrin, who got her heart broken on Arie’s season of The Bachelor, gets a second chance at finding love as the new bachelorette.

The premiere of season fourteen of The Bachelorette recently aired and Becca was wooed by twenty-eight charming and handsome gentlemen. Last year, Kufrin made it all the way to The Bachelor finale where Arie Luyendyk got down on one knee and proposed. Sadly, just shortly after filming, Arie was having second thoughts and ended his engagement with Becca to pursue his runner up, Lauren Burnham. This new bachelorette has moved past the painful breakup and is now ready to find a man that she can share her future, and of course, dog with.

The episode started out by showing how Becca’s life was flipped upside down after Arie had left her devastated. Then, Kufrin stated that she was completely ready for a new chapter in her love life and to assist in this exciting journey, past happily engaged bachelorettes, Jojo Fletcher, Kaitlyn Bristowe, and Rachel Lindsay give some comforting advice. In addition to the important bachelorette tips, Rachel references Arie jokingly, saying “Please don’t edit this out: F-him”.

Following this girl time, the episode jumps into getting to know some of the contestants for this season. Becca has an array of beautiful men to fall in love with, from professional football players to grocery store owners. And what would be The Bachelorette without a cocky, self-absorbed model who views the show as a competition rather than a pathway for true love.

The limo entrances this season did not disappoint with someone dressed as a chicken, someone riding in an ox, and someone strolling up in a hearse. Becca handled these crazy first impressions well and genuinely had fun with it.

Additionally, this season of The Bachelorette has the most diversity of contestants in the show’s history, with seven men of color out of the twenty-eight total men.

Throughout the cocktail party, Kufrin got dunked on, had her back massaged, and made clay sculptures, as well as forming real connections with most of the men. Sadly, Becca had to send some of the contestants back home, however, she that just means she is one step closer to finding ‘the one’.
