Viola Davis Introduces a New Series to ABC
Viola Davis is cooking up something for us on ABC and we can’t wait to see what her upcoming project is about.
The new documentary series, The Last Defense, is coming to ABC, and the great actress from How To Get Away With Murder, Viola Davis, is the executive producer for this show. This series is said to premiere on Tuesday, June 12th, at 10 pm, EDT.
The Last Defense is a seven-episode documentary that takes a closer look into the slip-ups of our American justice system. It specifically looks deeper into the death row cases of Darlie Routier and Julius Jones and into their individual personal accounts.
She even shares a trailer for the show on her Twitter account to give us a sneak peek of what’s to come.

Viola Davis’ goal is to educate the American people about our justice system by giving us the facts and the numbers of the people who were and still are incarcerated with unreasonable and unfair sentencing. Executive producer, Viola Davis, will successfully educate us through this emotion-filled docu-series, and hopefully, awaken the American people to start the conversation about the injustices within our justice system.
