Paris ‘Spiderman’ Saves Child Dangling From a Balcony, Receives Grand Vermeil Medal
Over the weekend, Mamoudou Gassama, a twenty-two year old Malian migrant, saw a small child hanging off the edge of a balcony of an apartment building, so he scaled four floors and rescued the kid.
Apparently, the father of the child went out shopping and left the toddler all alone at home. Somehow, the kid got onto the balcony of the apartment and was clinging to the edge four stories up.
“I did it because it was a child,” said 22-year-old Mamoudou Gassama. “I climbed. … Thank God I saved him.” https://t.co/2IPXTqyNla pic.twitter.com/fjSa71aSqL
