‘Quantico’ Faces Backlash After Controversial Episode
The famous Quantico, actress, Priyanka Chopra, has been receiving hate mail from fans and scholars who have watched the recent episode of “The Blood of Romeo.”
ABC studios has been making sure the backlash she has been receiving is not about her or the cast. They have re-assured fans of the show that it is all fictional and apologize for depicting a story that targeted a specific group of people. “ABC Studios and the executive producers of Quantico would like to extend an apology to our audience who were offended by the most recent episode, ‘The Blood of Romeo.'”
Viewers were so upset that they even called upon the Indian Government to black out scene where Priyanka Chopra, otherwise known as Alex Parish finds the suspect who has Hindu prayer beads and later uses it as evidence to prove that the suspect in custody was in fact an Indian Nationalist.
Quantico is a work of fiction. The show has featured antagonists of many different ethnicities and backgrounds, but in this case, we inadvertently and regrettably stepped into a complex political issue. It was certainly not our intention to offend anyone”, ABC studios says.
