Ryan Gosling is Your Favorite Astronaut in the ‘First Man’ Trailer
Ryan Gosling takes one small step as Neil Armstrong in the upcoming movie First Man.
Gosling plays the first person to walk on the moon, and while history tells us that the mission was a success, the journey leading up to it wasn’t so perfect. In the new First Man trailer, we see what it was like to plan the mission to the moon.
The story will focus on a timeline of 1961 to 1969 as the NASA team faces the challenges to make the mission possible. In the trailer, Armstrong (Gosling) tells the press, “We’re planning on the flight being successful.” In another scene, Armstong adds suspense when he tells his family “there are risks, but we have every intention of coming back” in an effort to comfort his son.
First Man will also include The Crown‘s Claire Foy as Janet Armstrong Neil’s wife. The space movie was directed by La La Land‘s Damien Chazelle. You can see the suspenseful mission when First Man comes to theaters on October 12.
